On November 24th, Cristian Jezdic participated as a guest speaker at the panel "AVGC & AR/VR - The Backbone of Media and Entertainment Industry" during his visit at the 53rd International Film Festival of India.
According to the ministry, India has the potential to capture 5% (~$40 billion) of the global market share by 2025, with an annual growth of around 25-30% and creating over 1,60,000 new jobs annually in the sector. The sector had seen tremendous growth over the past seven years and, with proper impetus, could soon become a world leader. India could become the content creation factory of the world in the sector.
Next to Smt. Neerja Sekhar, Additional Secretary Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and Ashish Kulkarni, Founfer/ Punnaryug & Chairma of FICCI they talked about the fast growth of the AVGC sector in India and the world, its potential to become the torch-bearer of "Create in India" and "Brand India" and the Skilling & development initiatives by central & various state governments.
